He calls hair "c" or "see", we think as in "SEE my hair?" from a while back. Now all hair is "c". He likes being on my shoulders. It's usually good for another 1-2 minutes of happiness when he's getting cranky during the last song in church.

Hometown Days

We made a stop at Swartz Creek Hometown Days on Saturday night and saw the sights.

After a request for "tar," music ensues.

Yea its been a while

We're back from our trip to Hudsonville. Marcos did a short rotation over there while we spend time with Grandma Irene. I'm way behind on posting, so here's a few.

Samuel received a rocking Giraffe for Christmas and enjoys going for a ride.

Samuel's first sledding experience - being pulled by Dad in the yard. He kept falling over when he was sitting up, so we found it it was better to go head first.

Snow!

Swartz Creek received its first snow of the season in the early hours of Thanksgiving. Samuel hates the process of getting into his snow getup but seemed to enjoy being outside (per usual).

Blueberry picking

We went blueberry picking yesterday. Samuel enjoyed it thoroughly, though he didn't help very much. We got 8.75 pounds for $12.25. Kroger has blueberries for about a buck a piece (and thats the in-season price).

Anatomy of bathtime

And now, a short tour of bathtime.

Bathtime begins with a fussy Samuel who soon realizes that its bathtime and gets into a happier mood.
Once in the bath, Samuel enjoys his time for personal reflection.

At bath's end, Samuel likes to be wrapped in one of several towels with pockets custom-made for his head.

After the bath, its back to his room for lotioning down and changing into pajamas.

Further photos would not be flattering, as Samuel usually lapses into hysterics at the suggestion of bedtime.

Grandma Irene got a new puter this week that comes with a great program called Comic Life.

Samuel has come a long way in his baths as well.  He's graduated to the big tub, likes to go swimming on his back at times (with Daddy's help).  He especially enjoys his massage after bathtime, when he gets his lotion put on.

Pictures coming from my big trip

Hello all. My dad tells me that of the thousands of pictures he took this past weekend, he is narrowing down to a select few to post here. We took a big trip this weekend to the land of my ancestors (some of them), a far off land called Hudsonville. I met a lot of new people and saw many new places. It was a good trip. Dad says the pictures will come soon.
Anyhoo, I'm getting tired holding my head up here, so I'm gonna take a nap.
